Wol Kolade will be sharing with us his pearls of wisdom on his journey so far. Wol is a managing partner at Living Bridge who are an independent private equity investment

company. Prior to this he joined private equity firm, ISIS, in January 1993. Since becoming Managing Partner in 2000, ISIS’ funds under management have grew 25 fold to over £1.2 billion.

Wol was Chairman of the British Private Equity and Venture Capital Association in 2007/8, a Council Member from 2002 to 2009 and Chairman of the Responsible Investment Advisory Board in 2009/10.

June Sarpong will be making a rare London appearance when she comes to the Success Talks stage to discuss her life and career so far.

Over the course of her career June Sarpong has become one of the most recognisable faces on British television as well as being one of the UK's most intelligent and dynamic hosts. She has interviewed politicians such as Tony Blair for a Channel 4 special, as well as Bill Clinton, Al Gore, Bono, George Clooney and 50 Cent. 

As a male model and actor with a social media following of 160k+, Broderick Hunter made an appearance on HBO's hit series Insecure and has become one of the most widely recognized male models in the industry with leading roles in music videos alongside recording artist Ciara & The Wanted, being named one of PEOPLE Magazine’s “Most Sexiest Men Alive”, listed as one of the Most Stylish Male Models on Instagram by GQ Magazine and was one of the faces of POLO RALPH LAUREN. He has been the face of various publications including British GQ, Cosmopolitan US, Buzzfeed and 360 Magazine

Walter White will be making a rare live appearance on the Success Talks stage. He will be providing a

deeper insight into Sigma Pi Phi.

Walter White is a partner at McGuire Woods law firm. His work consists of multinational securities

transactions, international business and finance law issues, and complex litigation and related

arbitration.

Levi Roots was a television sensation when he came on the BBC Television show Dragons Den and secured a £50,000 investment for 40% of his “Reggae Reggae Sauce” business by Peter Jones and Richard Farleigh.

Levi will be sharing his story on life after investment and discuss the aspects which most people do not see as well as why getting investment is only one piece of the puzzle to him growing his multi-million pound business.

Isha Johansen currently serves as President of the Sierra Leonean Football Association. She is the only female president of a football association in Africa, and one of only two female FA presidents in the world. She credits her father’s passion for the sport as her inspiration and the start of her lifelong involvement in football.

Lord Paul Boateng will be taking to the Success Talks stage to discuss his journey so far. The Rt. Hon Paul Boateng MP was appointed Chief Secretary to the Treasury on 29 May 2002.  In 1997, he made history when he was appointed Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department of Health, the first black person to hold ministerial office in the Government. 

Dr John Amaechi will share his amazing journey so far.  He is a psychologist and executive coach while prior to this he was playing in the NBA.

John’s journey to becoming an elite-athlete almost defies belief: at the age of 17, when he first picked up a basketball, John was considered ‘too late to the game’ and ‘not athletic enough’ to have any chance of success in domestic sport, much less overseas. Six short years later he became a ‘starter’ in the National Basketball Association (NBA).

Dr Yvonne Thompson will be sharing her pearls of wisdom on how she has started and sold businesses which has led to her becoming a multi-millionaire.

Dr Yvonne Thompson CBE is a serial entrepreneur. For over 30 years, she ran her own SME media company, ASAP Communications, being one of the first of its kind to dedicate itself to providing PR bespoke services to black music artists in the early 1980s. 

Dr Sandie Okoro is Senior Vice-President and General Counsel for the World Bank Group . She was General

Counsel (Chief Legal Officer) of HSBC Global Asset Management and Deputy General Counsel of HSBC

Retail Banking and Wealth Management. 

As well as a member of the Executive Management Committee of HSBC Global Asset Management. Before joining HSBC in January 2014, Sandie was Global General Counsel at Barings. Previously she was head of legal for Corporate Services at

Schroders.
